The assignment at hand during this semester was to create an application, based on an area of interest, and apply all UI/UX design and user experience principles and methodologies.

Design Solution

The topic of interest selected for the application I decided to focus on was sustainable floral arrangements. I decided upon this topic because as society is shifting towards a more locally friendly attitude when it comes to agriculture, I believe people should also look into more locally sustainable flowers, as 80% of flowers purchased within the United States are imported and leave an enormous carbon footprint. The application allows users to find flowers that are local to their area, assists users on where they can purchase these local blooms, and create a place for community and inspiration.
